Protein

One topic that interests me is PROTEIN. Protein is an essential nutrient for growth and maintenance of human body. It is found in plants as well as in animals. They are made up of thousand small units that are linked together called amino acids- “the building blocks of life”.  Proteins contains of essential importance like any other nutrients. They replace the worn-out cells out of our body and transport various substances. Christian Nordqvist (2018 August 24). It is the most important building block of muscles, bones, cartilage, skin and blood.  Hair and nails are made of protein.  Protein can be acquired from food like meat, poultry, fish, beans and peas, eggs, prepared soy items, nuts and seeds.

Recommended protein intake is 0.8 grams of protein per kg of body weight. People who are physically active or athletes consume high protein in their diet to build muscles. But if extremely high protein is consumed then it might lead to health issues Kris Gunnars (2018 April 27). To take right amount of protein in diet, it is advised to consult with dieticians. Following a balanced diet including meat, fish, chicken, eggs will surely provide a healthy amount of protein to body.

A research suggests that currently there is no substantial basis to recommend protein consumption above RDA (0.8 g protein/kg body weight/day; high protein diet) for adults due to its potential health risks. Further researches need to be carried out in this area to find out more Delimaris I. (2013). Proteins are among the real players throughout our life. Studying protein is important in order to know the healthy functioning of human body.

I would like to learn more about protein and how it impacts weight loss. With rise in eating disorders and obesity issues, weight loss has become one of the strategic solutions to fight them. High protein diets are always recommended to help in obesity.

Protein performs various functions in our body. It helps in filling up quick. It stops you from over eating as it induces satiety Paul Kita (2019 May 29). Protein is one of the recommended essential nutrients for weight loss. With performing its functions as well as providing energy and building muscles, protein is a weapon to use against weight loss. Protein helps in reducing appetite and helps body in consuming fewer calories.

Nutrition guidelines is suggesting that about 10-35 percent of calories should be of protein. Rather than purchasing protein supplements, it’s better to consume food that naturally contains protein. A single large egg can provide 5grams of protein Malia Frey (2018 November 16). Not everyone can afford expensive protein supplements. But naturally contained foods are easily available and easily accessible.

This dynamic new field enables dietary science to be combined with culinary methods that address the individual needs of a populace that is urgent for the right interventions to upgrade health, lessen ailment hazard, help with weight reduction, and improve regular day to day existence. Chefs strongly agreed that food service providers view nutrition as important component of their industry.

The research found that the chefs` personal health conditions, length of work experience, and recent nutrition education were remarkably related to nutrition issues in menu planning. The study also indicated that the chefs no longer perceive that the preparation of low-fat foods requires additional work, and also that they can be made equal in taste to foods containing higher amounts of fat. J. Johnson, Lesley & Carola, Raab & Elena, Champaner & Carolyn, Leontos. (2002). With right knowledge of taste, nutritious food can be made interesting.
