Diet is an effective way of food intake in a way to bring out the desired results. May it be for weight loss or to gain some pounds, diets have been proven a big help to achieve results. Diet includes having a eating plan which is healthy and nutritious. The eatwell guide promotes to have a balanced diet having fruits, vegetables and drinking plenty of water. 
Dietary restriction is a way to regulate your calorie intake. There are several type of diets available which a person can take. But it is important to consult a dietician first. 
From my personal experience I faced obesity and weight gain issues. So, for weight loss I found this south beach diet most effective which was created byDr. Arthur Agatston, a Florida-based cardiologist. It has three phases and it aims at eating before hunger strikes. 
I found this diet online at pretty sweet.comwhich i followed for a week. 
Phase 1 lasts for 14 days.
The strictest phase is this because it aims at decreasing blood sugar and insulin levels by limiting high carb foods and also stabilizes hunger and reduce cravings.
Breakfast – south beach diet farmhouse garden and cheese omelet and greek yogurt 
Morning snack– Dark chocolate Nut Bar
Lunch– mushroom parmesan soup with chicken 
Afternoon snack– Hardboiled egg and cucumber slices 
Dinner– Brocolli and cheese stuffed chicken with small kale salad
Evening snack– beach shack chocolate shake
Allergen is any substance that can cause allergy to a person and create an allergy reaction. About one in every five people is facing allergies. These occur when our immune system overreacts to (an otherwise) harmless substance known as an allergen. The reaction which arises could be as mild as a sneeze or as deadly as any shock. So,the best and easiest way to reduce your allergy symptoms is to avoid and take precautions regarding your allergens.
Most common allergen are peanuts, Treenuts, wheat, soy, fish, shellfish, eggs and milk.

I chose Soy allergen in which a person has to be avoid soy consumption. It is most common allergy during infancy. To avoid soy allergy I tried to avoid food plan containing any soy item. Although soy is a good vegetarian substitute but i pretended to have soy allergy and followed a 7 day soy free diet plan 
For breakfast: 
1 waffle ,Orange juice / bran flake cereals, skim milk/ scrambled eggs,wheat toast, milk . 
For snack: 
Orange/strawberries/almonds/banana
For lunch: 
Tuna pita Sandwich/creamy seafood pasta/salad with lettuce, eggs, mayo. 
For dinner: 
Brown chicken rice/spinach salad/roasted fish/spring vegetable pasta 
One soy free recipe that I created: 

Vegetable pasta with lemon garlic twist

Ingredients: 
  • 8 ounces whole wheat pasta
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • Rock Salt
  • Black Pepper
  • 1 bunch asparagus, with the woody part chopped off
  • 1 cup fresh green peas
  • 2 cloves of garlic, should be minced
  • lemon juice
  • 2–3 tablespoons fresh dill
Method:
1.In a large pan, heat water and put pasta to boil.
2.Drain boiled pasta and set aside to cool down. 
3.Cut down asparagus in 2inches. 
4.Now, put a large pan over stove on medium flame and heat olive oil and put asparagus into it. Season it with rock salt, pepper and herbs and leave it for 10 minutes. 
5.Add garlic and peas and let it cook thoroughly. 
6.Now add cooked pasta in pan , add dill, lemon juice and 1 tablespoon olive oil. Now let it cook for 2 minutes and mix everything up nicely with herbs and serve it hot with a glass of fresh lemonade. 
I followed the diet and found that allergens can be easily avoided by making different recipes. Soy allergens can be easily avoided by adopting diet plan with soy free food items. Food like soy milk, soy nuts , even soy sauce should be avoided otherwise a person could get effected. 
I felt amazing that I was able to understand what a person with allergy goes through . As a chef, it is my responsibility to take care of my customer and ask them about if they are prone to any allergens or allergy. I should be able to satisfy my customer with recipe that is safe and healthy for them.  
I would definitely continue my soy free diet and south beach diet plan. I was able to get my proteins from other substitutes . And to loose weight i think south beach diet is one of the best diet plan having three phases which clearly aims at eating even before you feel the hunger.
